>How much is too much?

>

I guess it depends on who you ask. Some people can’t believe I blog, and I share pics of my girls on the internet. I talk about pieces of our lives online….to strangers!
Well, my kids are always with an adult, mostly me or their dad. Someone would have to kill us before they took off with one of them.
As for talking to strangers. I find it soothing and empowering. Some of you I don’t feel are strangers. I think, at least in my mind, that we are becoming friends. True we don’t really know each other, I mean you can be anyone you want to be online.
Why waste time doing that though? That’s a lot of energy, to me anyway.
I like to think I’m the same online as I am in person. I share pieces of my life, not every single detail.
As I blog more, you’ll leanr more and more about me and my family. I love blogging. It’s my getaway.
So for me, I’ll share as much as I’m comfortable with.
How about you, what do you think is too much to post on the internet?

  1. >When I first started blogging I was so about our lives, I shared a whole lot. And then when I started "doing things" that created traffic I began to get a little bit more protective as to what I shared. After going through that and my blog becoming more and more about what others wanted to read, I stopped. It was too much of a headache and I had to wonder, where did my blog go.I took it back, it's mine, all mine…again LOL! Whatever comes to mind, I write, not worried about others. I've met so many beautiful women and men (Ana – Quiskaeya being one of them) in my 3 and a half years of blogging and for that I wouldn't change anything!

  2. >I have been thinking over this same issue being that I am about to have a little one. So far my blogging has been limited to me and the hubby. I am pondering how much do I share about her, including pics. I definitely enjoy the blogs where name, pics, and details are shared better than the ones that are curtained in anonymity with no pics and use pseudonyms. p.s. thanks for stopping by and sharing the link about positive affirmations. As much I have been on Rocky Mountain web site for cloth diaper info, I never saw that link. 🙂

  3. >You know… I wonder the same thing one time! I'm not sure if I'll put pictures of our child and their names… Actually you know what? I think I will cause they will be so stinkin' cute… likle your kids! 🙂 haha, don't worry girl. Do yo thang! People are gonna say stuff about everything!

  4. >Hey there! This is my first visit to your spot! I'll be back!lol @ sunshinelovespeace – giving your addy would definitely be too much! When I discover a new blog and the person have TMI, I just don't return. Things regarding **x, excessive drinking and partying, etc just aren't what I care to read about, nor a blog that I care to follow.I've been blogging for about 3 years and I haven't posted any pics of myself or my son. In the beginning it was deliberate – anonymity. Now? Not so much anonymity, just being lazy! *lol* I love the relationships that I have formed and consider many to be friends.

  5. >i love the info. in your profile- i'm a cosleeping, nursing, AP momma. we homeschooled for a year and also did Monetessori- great experience. your kids are gorgeous, too.

  6. >Ha! I see you are a Libra – just like me. No wonder I see a kindred spirit in you 🙂 I agree with you about blogging. Friendships are definitely forged. We get to meet people whom in the real world we might just passed by and never get a chance to know. And it's so nice to meet people of like mind who are more concerned about your thoughts and ideas than if you look and act alike. I love it!

  7. >I feel you! I love blogging to and for me it is a way to feel connected to people who share my interests (which sometimes is hard to find with the people in your close physical vicinity).Too much info is giving your dang address and inviting the whole blog world to ring your door bell. I am also the same person on line as I am in person and I agree that faking the funk would require waaaay too much effort.Peace
