>Farewell 2009 & Another Decade

>

I can’t believe it’s been a decade already. Remember when everyone was so concerned about Y2K?
I met my husband in Sept of 2001 at Sunrise Assisted Living. We married in Feb of 2004. Nakiah made me a mother in Dec. 2004
We moved from Dayton, OH to Cleveland, OH in 2006.
Ava was born at home in 2007 and forever changed the way I view pregnancy and birth. We moved from Cleveland,OH to Minneapolis, MN in 2008. Then in Feb of 2009 we moved from MN to VA.

If I had been able to look into the future 10 years ago, I wouldn’t have spent so much time being depressed. You never know where the path will lead.

What a year this has been!

We’re expecting our 3rd child. Nakiah turned five and Ava turned two. Charles and I both turned the big 30
I’ve grown so much as a woman, wife, and mother this year. I started this blog, and our homeschool blog. I’ve learned so much about myself this past year. I’ve learned that I am a strong woman, and that God will never fail me. I’ve learned how to really live life and take nothing for granted.

We’ve had our ups and downs like everyone else. Looking back over this past year, and decade I can say that we have had more good over bad moments. Isn’t that what life is about, the good, bad, happy, sad moments of life?

I’ve made new friends, and reconnected with old friends. I’m finally feeling comfortable in my own skin. It took me a while to get here, but here I am!
I look forward to all that God has in store for me and my family in the New Year.
Blessings to you and yours as you say goodbye to the old, and welcome the new.

  1. >Hi, thanks for stopping by my site today:) Congratulations on your new bun in the oven! How exciting!!! Your family is beautiful:) I had a thought the other day that this next decade for us will bring college for the little ones, yikes! So either I will be destitute trying to pay for college or prosperous in this next decade:) I figure I better get started today:)Have a blessed and happy New Year!Ms. Wanda
