We’ve been busy busy busy for two weeks.
La Leche League meetings, BestMilk Bistro, diaper swaps, recipe exchanges, World Breastfeeding Week Celebration, and playdates.
It’s really nice because the kids get to play and the mama’s hang out and talk.
I enjoy getting out, but felt the need for a slower paced day.
The girls could go on and on. They are both such high energy kids.
I never thought I would say that it felt good to sit at home and catch up on some laundry.
We started the day off with breakfast. Fried eggs and toast with raspberry jam to be exact.
While I put the diaper laundry away and started another load, the girls pulled out the glue, scissors and construction paper.
I cut up some receiving blankets to use for wipes and burp cloths.
After lunch we headed to the library.
They started playing with several other girls.
I think they ranged in age from 5-10
One of the girls there was so happy to show off her missing tooth.
Nakiah wanted to know when she would have a missing tooth. I assured her that it could possibly happen in the next year.
The group of girls took turns playing the teacher. They sang songs together and even managed a couple rounds of hide-n-seek.
After the library we went to Target. On the drive there we talked about how blue the sky was, and how the sun kept hiding behind the clouds.
Nakiah noticed that some people had kids in their cars like us while others did not.
I love the dollar section as soon as you walk into Target.
The girls picked out puzzles, Dora dry erase boards, workbooks, crazy eyes, and what they call colored cotton balls.
As soon as we got home they dug in.
Some of the videos they picked out.

Magic School Bus
After dinner they watched a little bit of Magic School Bus, had a couple popsicles, then they ran to the backyard to play in the sandbox.
Now they are dancing to the music while Charles plays Boom Boom Rocket.
I love that game! Maybe Charles will let me play a round or two.
