December 2nd

Charles had the day off so we decided to head to the beach. It had rained earlier that morning, but the sun came out and it looked really nice out.
Well…..by the time we got to the beach the temperature had dropped and it was pretty darn cold.
We were not dressed to be at the beach in December.

So we packed the kids and car back up and headed to the library instead.
The limit on books to check out is 25. We came away with 24 books and one original Strawberry Shortcake dvd.

We probably read at least 10 of the books while we were there. Kiah played and Ava picked out book after book for us to read, and then dropped them into the bag to take home.

We have books about Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Halloween, Zebras, Elephants, Dinosaurs, Snow, The world, and many many more.

While Ava went to play, Kiah sat down to check out some of the books she had picked out.

When we got home Ava said mommy read the title of the books first.

In other news Samuel is trying to pull himself up on things before he learns to crawl.
This boy is something else!

Once he learned that he could pull himself a little bit there was no stopping him. I helped him of course because he almost pulled this toy down on himself.

There was more computer play, Animaniacs,  more books, coloring, mommy I can spell this word here W-I-T-C-H what does that say?

Dinner is in the crockpot. I’m making a mix between gumbo and chili. Not really sure what to call it. It looks good though!

  1. MMmm, sounds like a perfect day! I love your son's hair! I just wanna pick him up n snuggle him and rub his little fuzzies on my cheek, hehe. What is it about chubbly baby legs, anyway?

  2. There are several libraries we could go to, but so far we've only been to two of them. We all had a really good time. I love spending time with my family. The chili/gumbo was really good!

  4. Darcel~ I love the library! It's better than a candy store. My girls loved when I read to them. How Blessed that you have a close by library. Enjoy these moments reading together. Your little ones will grow so fast. How did the "Chil-bo" go? yummy♥

  5. I love days at the library. Especially when daddy can come too. Samuel is something else trying to stand up already. The gumbo/chili sounds perfect on a snowy day like we are having here in Michigan today. Have a great weekend Darcel!!!
