on my needles

Let’s see…I forgot to post this picture last week of Kiah’s finished shawl. She loves it and so does her girl scout bear.
Little did we know she would be able to use it regularly so soon!

I think it’s safe to say that Fall is finally here.

Yesterday I made a cowl for each kid. I surprised myself with this. I knew crochet was faster than knitting…honestly, it’s probably because they are small. I made a large one that took two days and it’s gorgeous, bright, and big! I’ll show them to you next week. The sun is out today so I should be able to get some good pictures.

I’m hoping to finish this lovely scarf that I started sometime this past summer. That homemade cocoa was soooo good! I’m sipping on some as I type this. I was also praying there wouldn’t be a freak accident causing my drink to spill on the scarf.

I said no more than four projects going at a time….there are five, but I’m not counting the cowl I’m working on for myself after the kids are in bed.

Ava made a yarn shoe for herself. She made two the 2nd one after I took this picture and wore them for hours yesterday.

So what projects have you been working on lately?

  1. I tried commenting the other night. Didn’t have a password…blah blah blah. I’m back. LOL. Tell Kiah that I think her shaw is gorgeous–great color theme. Ava, those yarn shoes are to die for. ;o) Creative children…love it. My warrior princesses are sewing, and have made apparel for their stuffed toys and dolls. Seeing the bear in the shawl makes me chuckle. They do that too, huh?

  2. Wow you’ve been busy!! I for one am glad that fall is here and summer is a thing of the past. Now I can knit more lovely woo lens and know I can wear them immediately πŸ™‚
