With warmer weather coming, hopefully soon, I decided to start a shawl. I love this purple…it reminds me of purple jewels. I went out with some friends last weekend(we had a great time) and it was much needed and deserved. Being a mom is rewarding and hardwork!
My friend Dee gifted me a small bag of yarns that she wasn’t using. And this ball of purple was one of them. It’s so soft and will keep someone warm when it’s all done.

I’ve been working on this pretty skinny cowl knit with merino wool(the purple) and a mix of recycled wools with the hot pink. It feels really nice in my hands, luscious wood be a good word to describe it. At first I was going to use the purple alone, but I love working with and mixing colors. I like it a lot and can’t wait to see the finished product. It’s knit with 4 rows of seed stitch and 4 rows of knit stitch. This is the only thing I’ve been knitting …the rest of the photos are crochet.
There’s also a new fluffy kids cowl in the shop. Is she working this pose or what?
Here’s a peek at what’s coming next. I loved loved loved creating this cowl. Now I’m trying to decide what other color combinations I can work with.
